Committed to Michigan State University during his junior season.
Scouting: Max is just a great middle linebacker prospect. Lacks the ideal athleticism that I would like to see, but he makes up for it with the signs of a natural football player. He is a fantastic tackler, run stopper and reads plays well.
His lack of top-end speed for a linebacker causes him to be a four-star player. I love his ability to get through the offensive line and make backfield tackles, but when plays stretch out or he drops back into coverage, he will struggle.
Recruiting: Committed to Michigan State, received offers from Notre Dame and UCLA prior to committing.
